Quail Valley is located in Missouri City, Texas and was the first master planned community in Fort Bend County. Originally built around 3 golf courses, Quail Valley's winding waterways and variety of homes offers a change from the familiar "cookie cutter" style community. Quail Valley once hosted the 1973 and 1974 Houston Open and continues to host numerous local and regional tournaments.
Quail Valley's classical 2530 acres are nestled along Oyster Creek near Highway 6 South, the Ft. Bend Toll Road and close enough to the Southwest Freeway, 288 and Murphy Road. This small, once bedroom community is now at the center of Missouri City's tremendous growth surge. Commercial development is booming all around them.
Begun in 1969, it was one of the pioneer planned communities in Ft. Bend County. The hidden vistas of sunsets along the waterways, which wind throughout this epoch, tree lined neighborhood, can still surprise many residents of long standing who, when invited to a waterside backyard barbecue say in awe, "I didn't even know this existed."
The building of Quail Valley began in 1969 among pecan groves along historic Oyster Creek. This 2,530-acre community is home to over 5,000 families. The neighborhood is interspersed with lakes and golf courses, and enjoys the lowest tax rate of all East Fort Bend County communities. New housing prices range from $140,000 to $310,000, and resale prices range from $100,000 to $500,000.
Major amenities include 54 holes of golf, 20 lighted tennis courts, an athletic center and country club facilities. Quail Valley is in the Fort Bend Independent School District.
